Dear friends,
Centre for Fathering (CFF) was established in 1999 to inspire fathers to be better role models and more active in the lives of their children. For the past 23 years, CFF helped more than 60,000 fathers and their families through father-child bonding programmes, fathering and parenting workshops. Both our nation-wide DADs for Life and MUMs for Life movements continue to inspire Dads and support Mums to strengthen families in Singapore. Your generous support enabled us to conduct more than 200 programmes that engage more than 300,000 families annually.
In our prisons outreach programme, incarcerated fathers and their children would play the ‘Blindfold Game’. The blindfolded children would identify their father’s voices, as fathers called out, “I Love You”. One father shared, “It’s a great bonding session for mutual trust and respect. The minute my daughter recognised my voice saying ‘I love you’, she ran into my arms – my tears dropped. This made me realise how important I am in her life and that she is an irreplaceable figure in my life.”
Today, we sincerely appeal for your generous support for our cause at the Centre for Fathering Charity Ball on 10 February 2023 at 6.30pm at The Fullerton Hotel. Our Guest of Honour is Her Excellency Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore, and she will be hosted by our Patron, Mr. Tan Chuan-Jin, the Speaker of Parliament of Singapore.
The Charity Ball is also held in conjunction with our Great Companies for Dads Awards 2023 – Singapore’s first award to recognise Companies that support Fathers in the workplace. 5 exemplary Companies received the Award from our President of the Republic of Singapore in 2021, and 8 Companies received Letters of Commendation.
Your generous support towards our fundraising ball will help us achieve the $2,500,000 we need annually to sustain our initiatives. Alternatively, you may also make a direct donation. All donations will be eligible for 2.5 times tax deduction and also benefit from the dollar matching scheme under Tote Board and Government’s Enhanced Fund-Raising Programme.
